Meet our 2023-2024 Coaching Staff!
Head Coach Marcus Carr
Coach Marcus played his high school football in Oklahoma and then served our country in the military for 20 years. Coach Marcus comes to us after spending the last few years at Coupeville High School as their head coach and before that he was at Concrete High School as their head coach.
Coach Chris Henkens
Coach Henkens played Wide Receiver/Free Safety for Bellevue High School in Bellevue Washington. His high school honors include being named 2nd Team All KingCo Wide Receiver and a Team Captain. He went on to graduate from Seattle University.
2022 marked the 7thyear coaching football. He began his football coaching career starting with Viking Junior Football and transitioned to Inglemoor High School football in 2020. At Inglemoor, he was the Head Coach for the C-team the past 3 seasons along with being the assistant varsity offensive line coach for 2 seasons and varsity offensive line & tight end coach this past season. Currently, he coaches the Varsity offensive line and tight ends.
Coach Jeff Dick
Coach Dick has been coaching Inglemoor Football for 15 years. He has had multiple roles in the high school program including work at the C-Team as D Coordinator, DB coach, as well as coaching RBs and QBs. He is currently coaching Safeties and serves as the Special Teams coordinator at the Varsity level. Before joining the high school staff, he coached within the IJF Football Program for 4 years and filled the role of Player Safety Lead ensuring that each team within the program was properly teaching the fundamentals of blocking and tackling.
Coach Mel Mersberg
Coach Mersberg has been coaching Inglemoor Football for 19 years. This is his 11th year with the high school football program. Mel was born and raised in Waianae, Oahu. He moved to Washington to further his education and graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. Coach Mersberg is married to Kari and they have 2 sons, Chase and Riley. He enjoys the outdoors; mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding. He also loves to travel back home to visit family, surf, and hunt.
Coach Brian Burck
Coach Burck has 12 years playing experience on the High School (defensive line), College and Semi-Professional levels (linebacker) of football. He has coached on multiple levels including 2 years in youth programs in the Federal Way Hawks organization as a Defensive line and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Burck also coached for the Seattle Bombers Semi Professional team coaching the Linebackers for the 2019 season. This is his 6th season at Inglemoor High School as an assistant coach, 1986-1988, 2020-current. He has coached the Defensive line(1 season), and Linebackers(5th season). He is one of 9 cousin's that have attended Inglemoor HS and his family has been in Kenmore WA since the early 1920's. There are 2 other brothers that played football for the Vikings that graduated in 1982 & 1988. Coach Burck graduated in 1985 from IHS. His passion for the game, the school and community runs through his veins.
Coach Jeremy Eubanks
Coach Jeremy played his high school football at Kamiakin High School (Kennewick, WA) and finished 2 in state 4A his senior year. He spent the past year coaching Running Backs and in 2023 will be head coach for the C Team. He has coach flagged football the past 10 years for his sons and their teams.
Coach John Cowan
Coach John has coached baseball, basketball & football over the past 10 years for his two sons. His true passion is football, as it develops grit, selflessness, hard work, respect and mental toughness. John played football at Eastside Catholic (3-year starter on the offensive line), and he believes this gave him tools for success in life and business, as well as fostering an attitude of giving back to others. Being an Entrepreneur is in John's DNA, has started and owned a dozen businesses, and for the past 17 years he has been in real estate.
Coach Brett Colley
Coach Trace Bartoli
Trace Bartoli joined the Viking staff in March of 2023 to serve as Inglemoor's C-Team offensive and defensive line coach before shifting to Varsity defensive line coach for the 2024 season. Trace, a former standout player for the Vikings, guided his alma mater's offensive and defensive line from 2003-2005. With 20 years of experience in the sport of football, he has served on coaching staffs at the high school, middle school and Jr. levels of play. Coach Bartoli's playing career includes both being nominated team captain and earning a Kinco All Team selection in 2005. As a coach he recently helped guide the 2023 Vikings C-Team to a 9-0 record. Native of Kenmore, Trace and his wife, Tori, have three daughters, Skylie, Oryan and Lucca and one son, Blake.
Coach David Minerath
Coach David played football growing up in Northern Idaho at the junior, middle and high school level. He moved to Tacoma in 2012 to attend the University of Puget Sound and competed on the Varsity rowing team for the Loggers for 2 years, taking home the 2013 NCRC Novice 8s Championship. Previously coaching junior tackle football for the Ballard Knights, he joined the Inglemoor Coaching Staff in 2024 as the Wide Receivers Coach.
